Hey Baby!

Its been a wild adventure that has brought us to this point! We are so excited to say that Brienna Elise was born June 28th at 12:30pm. She was 8lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. She was stubborn to say the least. After three days of labor and a few complications she decided to finally join us.

Eddie and I after much consideration and research decided to have a homebirth. What an amazing experience. In the comfort of our home with the help of a midwife and a doula I did what I thought was going to be impossible... Labor.... We've all heard it so many times, but now I truly understand. 'It was worth it.

Brienna is already 2 1/2 months old. Her smiles melt my heart and her goo's are music to my ears. I couldn't love her anymore. I've kissed sleeping and hot meals goodbye. I see my mom and sister in a different light. They are my role models. My inspiration.
I always knew Eddie would be an amazing father, but he has taken my breath away. He is my team mate in the crazy thing called 'parenting'.
I never realized the joy that comes with parenting. I look at Brienna and tell her she can do anything her heart desires when she grows up. And I mean it... I heard that so many times from my mom and dad, but I don't think I truly understood them. She has an amazing life ahead of her. We will beam at her accomplishments and pick her up when she falls. As of now I couldn't be more proud of her. She smiles, talks, and holds her head up. Funny how these little things bring us so much joy. I can't help but think of all the other things we will be proud of her for. The fun is just beginning!
